Senior Golf
A lot of golfers end up giving up the sport they love due to
either pain or frustration! It can be exasperating when you can no longer hit the ball as far or lose
some consistancy.

Golf is not as physically
demanding as many sports but the golf swing can put enormous strain on your body, particularly your back, this can
cause so much pain that you eventually have to give up.
Now that you have the time and
money to play, you DO NOT want anything -- especially pain -- to stop you.
Even if you are not yet feeling pain, you may be setting yourself up for it by
putting unnecessary stress on your muscles and bones with a poor or overly complicated golf swing.
If you have chronic pain you should seek medical help. But if the pain is caused by
golf, you should probably seek "swing" help.
Often the pain felt during golf is caused by trying to hit the ball much too hard.
But you have to remember that you are not, sadly, as young as you used to be. So you really need to adapt your
playing style to put less stress on your body.
The one thing most Senior Golfers need to do to continue to enjoy playing well into
their later years is to simplify their golf swing.
Your swing needs to be easy, consistent and, most of all,
simple.
Another area you need to focus on is
exercise.
I know for most senior golfers 'golf' is their exercise -
but as our bodies get older they are not as flexible.
It is very important to warm up before a game of golf and
the best way to do this is to perform some simple stretching exercises.
